On Tuesday-17- November the Bogota Board of Education held their Regular meeting for November. In his Superintendent Report Mr. Damian Kennedy announced that auditors report has declared that the District will have approximate a 2 million dollar surplus. About 30 % will be part of the 2021-22 district budget. About another 10% will be used for maintenance, with the rest being added to the CAP reserve. Superintendent Kennedy then talked about what the district plan could be to deal in the latest rise in positive covid-19 cases. He is considering that all school will go back to the all virtual leaning system starting after the Thanksgiving Holiday until Monday-18-January-2021. As of now the Hybrid learning will continue at least until the Holiday break. Superintendent Kennedy also said that if the Board of Health finds that there is a bigger number of cases reported that the virtual learning may begin sooner. This would also allow for the Teacher to conduct their classes from home.

-Accepting the donation of $1,000 to the Bogota High School Volleyball Program from
Carly O’Sullivan BHS Class of 2014.
-Accepting the resignation of Ms. Jeanne Hall , Second Grade Teacher at Bixby School effective January 1, 2021, due to retirement.
- The Approval of professional services proposal from Solutions Architecture LLC for
district-wide solar power purchase.
-The Approval of a contract with Window Film Depot for the installing of Security Window Film for all school buildings. The 75% of the cost will be submitted to COPS SVPP security grant.
- The Approval of the appointment of Brian O’Boyle as an Art Teacher at the Jr./Sr.
High School, effective January 4, 2021.
