October to December
    Monday-5- October will be the start of Leaf Season. Home Owners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting  in the street , along the curb, in front of their residents.  It is ask that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding , or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday -14- December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up.

Starting on Friday-16-October  Bogota Friends and Families are sponsoring a food drive for the St.Joseph Food Pantry in Bogota.  This is in conjunction with "You Give Goods." The Village of Ridgefield Park Board of Commissioners  Caucus meeting. This will be a held in the Municipal Building, located at 234 Main St Ridgefield Park, NJ. The Bogota Police Department will have Larch Avenue closed from West Main Street to the Teaneck border from 1:00p until 3:00p. We also will have candy between those hours for the trick or treaters. They will enforce social distancing and safe sanitary practices.
Below is a flyer attached that you can print out and place on your front door to assist you in how you would like to celebrate and feel safe.

The Bogart Memorial Church will again offer in-person services. They will have both Spanish and English services scheduled to start at 10:10a. Masks and safe distances are required.

Trinity Lutheran Church in Bogota has started to offer their Sunday services again. Sunday service will start at 9:30a. The Sunday School will begin at 10:30a. There will be Wednesday Bible  Studies at 7:00p. Masks and safe distances are required. Trinity Lutheran Church is now handicapped acceptable with a new lift system.

   St. Joseph Church in Bogota again will offer their Sunday Service in person. The number of participant will be limited. The Church will have a registration system allowing individuals to sign up and attend Mass. Tuesday-3-November
Election Day
The  2020 General Election in the State of New Jersey. The following are the offices and candidates that will be on the Ballots.                     
  Rules for this years General Election will include the majority of voting must be done by mail. Handicap voters are the only ones allowed to use voting machines. In person voting will be available, but only with a provisional ballot filled out at the polling station on Election Day. Mail -in ballots may to mailed any time before Tuesday-3-November. Ballots may also be place in a secure drop box that will be set-up at each polling station on Tuesday-3-November from 6:00a to 8:00p.  This must the same polling station assigned to voters this year. Voters will be mailed a postcard with information of their Polling location for 2020.
  Other secure drop boxes will be set-up in 18 Bergen County Communities. The closest to Bogota are in Hackensack, NJ at One Bergen County Plaza, this is the main county Administration  Building.  Another is in Teaneck, NJ at 818 Teaneck Rd, this will be located at the North entrance of the Township Municipal Building. Ballot Drop Boxes are available 24-hours. Ballots must be in the Drop Box by 8:00p on election night.  Any voter in line before 8:00p will be allowed to place there ballots in the drop box, and will be counted.  Drop boxes will be under 24 hour security and surveillance. Representatives from both major parties will oversee the collecting, and delivery of ballots from Drop Boxes.

   To allow the State of New Jersey to amend the State Constitution in order to legalize marijuana  to included personal use for person over 21 years of age 
Question #2 :
   To allow the State of New Jersey to amend the State Constitution in order to give a property tax deduction to veterans who did not serve in war time.
Question #3 :
   To allow the State of New Jersey to amend the State Constitution in order to change legislative district if the Federal Census results are delayed.

Teaneck Question: All questions are a Yes or NO vote
 Shall the Township of Teaneck, effective for the calendar year 2021, continue a dedicated tax program and extend an annual tax levy at the rate of $0.01 per $100.00 of assessed value for a period not to exceed four (4) years unless a proposition extending the same is approved by the voters

-- For Districts 1& 6 it is the Bogota Recreation Center at 162 W. Main St.
    Districts 1&6 is that part of the Borough located West of the Railroad tracks.

-- For Districts 2 & 3 it is the Gym of  Bogota High School at 1 Henry Luthin Pl.  please use the door towards the back       of the building on the North side of the Building.
   Districts 2 & 3  is that part of the Borough located East of the Railroad tracks & North of Beechwood Ave

--  For Districts 4 & 5 it is  in the Gym of the Roy Bixby School at Maplewood & Fischer Aves.

Bogota Sports

Due to heath concerns Bogota has suspended Varsity sports until Friday-6-November at the earliest

Ridgefield Park Sports

All Ridgefield Park Varsity sports have resumed. Due to health concerns admission to all home game are for family members only.
