-FREEZE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Connecticut, northeastern New Jersey and southeastern New York.
-DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight. Hazardous weather is not expected at this time. -DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Please listen to NOAA Weather Radio or go to weather.gov on the Internet for more information about the following hazards. Freeze Watch.
FREEZE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY
MORNING...
-WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 26 possible.
- WHERE...Portions of northeastern New Jersey, southern
Connecticut and southeastern New York.
-WHEN...From late Friday night through Saturday morning.
-IMPACTS...Freezing conditions could kill crops, other sensitive
vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
