Now until Monday-24-August Bogota Friends and Families is sponsoring drive to purchaseschool supplies for the Students going to Bogota Public Schools. Items can purchased on the You Give Goods website at: https://yougivegoods.com/drive-12255. Everyone purchasing items will be emailed a tax receipt at the time of purchase. Online prices include shipping, handling and You Give Goods services. A sample of items available for donation are: Backpacks, Boxes of school supplies, Notebooks, and collections of reading books. Supplies will be delivered before the start of the school year. Volunteers will sort the supplies and distribute them evenly to the three public schools of the Bogota Board of Education. Their goal is 8,000 items. All donations are tax deductible.

The Bogota Library will offer Fairy Tale celebration curbside kids crafts. Every Monday at 10:00a, they will be putting out brown bags filled with the materials needed to create a weekly craft. Bags will be placed outside on the curbside pickup table. No registration or reservations needed. Simply pass by the library and grab a bag for your child. Please note that craft bags are available on a first come, first served basis. Only 1 bag per child permitted. Any creation can be uploaded to the Library's Facebook page.

The Teaneck Public Library and the Black Box Performing Arts Centre is hosting the Bergen County Shakespeare in the Park performance of "The Tempest". This will take place on the Teaneck Municipal Green. Anyone attending is asked to bring a chair or blanket to make yourself. This is a free event but Tickets are required, and attendance will be limited to the first 100 persons. Masks will be required for attendance and social distancing guidelines must be observed at all times .This event is sold out as of 8/13/20. Bogota Beautiful will host their Final Yoga in the Park. This will take place on the first four Saturdays in August. It will be held in Olsen Park and scheduled to start at 9:00a. This year yoga instructors Ms. Lorrie Nichols and Ms. Lynn Demetrakis will lead the classes. Participation is free of charge, but reservation must be made for each session. To adhere current health and safety guidelines class will restricted to 25 people. All safety protocols will be followed for all classes. This includes:
-If anyone in a family has symptoms of covid-19, they are asked to remain home. -Everyone attending MUST bring their own mat.
-There will be sanitizing stations available. (to clean mats before and/or after)
-There will be practicing of safe sign-in/registration (via your own electronic device)
-Physical distancing of 6 feet will be strictly adhered to with our on-site monitoring.
-Masks must be used upon arrival and departure as maintenance of 6 feet might be difficult when class is not in session. Homemade masks are sufficient.
-PPE (masks, gloves, etc) will not be mandatory while class is in session.
Class will be cancelled due to inclement weather and notice will be shared on our website and social media accounts at least one hour or more advance notice.

There will be a uniform apparel swap held in Olsen Park. This will start at 12:00n and run until 3:00p. Each of the three Public Schools in Bogota will have their own tables set-up. Both uniform shirts and pants will be available. All items must be freshly washed and free of damaged.
