 On Wednesday-22-July  the National Weather Service has issued the following severe weather  alerts and heat advisory for parts on New Jersey and New York. This will continue through-out the Weekend and into early next week.

    Today: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm. Some storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain.  Partly sunny, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 99. South wind 6 to 9 mph.  Chance of precipitation is 30%.

    Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 2am, then a slight chance of showers between 2am and 4am. Some storms could be severe, with gusty winds and heavy rain. This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast New Jersey and
southeast New York.

-DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

An isolated strong to severe thunderstorm is possible this
afternoon, with the primary threat of damaging winds and large hail,
and possibly a weak tornado.
  A more organized line of strong to severe thunderstorms is possible
late this afternoon into this evening. The main threat would be
damaging wind gusts, and possibly a weak tornado.
  Heat indices will run in the mid to upper 90s this afternoon.

-DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Heat indices will run in the lower 90's to 95 on Thursday.
An isolated strong to severe thunderstorm is possible Thursday
afternoon into early evening.

-SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will likely be needed. Please safely report
significant weather conditions while following local, state, and CDC
guidelines.
