Earlier this week volunteers cover the front of Bogota High School with 76 banners to recognize the Class of 2020. These were placed on the fence and wall of the building so that can face Palisade Ave for passerby to see. With the aid of Susan Cruz Design, the Bogota Board of Education arranged this tribute for the Senior Class. The banners are scheduled to remain on display until the beginning of July.
In the pass the Board of Education contracted with photo studios to give each Senior a photo of them receiving their Diploma. This year, with only a virtual Commencement Exercise is planned this opportunity will have to be missed.
On Tuesday-9- June the Bogota Board of Education may be able to announce the schedule for the Elementary School of Steen and Bixby along with the Bogota High School. Superintendent Damien Kennedy is waiting on guidelines from the State of New Jersey to see if any other type of graduation ceremony can be planned.
