Recollection Wall

4-June-2020
Earlier this week Bogota Mayor Chris Kelemen announced the opening of a Bogota Recollection Wall to honour anyone who has been affect by the covid-19 virus.  This was an idea brought to him by Charlie Severino, and fabricated by the member of the Bogota Department of Public Works. The wall has been set-up inside the Picnic Pavilion in Olsen Park. This is sheltered in order to allow access to the wall despite the weather conditions.  It is available for use during normal park hours.  The hope is to allow everyone to remember and reflect on those at this time.
There are three types of ribbons available to be used. One is coloured Bucs Gold and is to be used to write the name of anyone from Bogota who was been lost due to the virus.  Another on is coloured Bogota Purple and can be used to remember anyone from anywhere in the world. A third ribbon is white and can be used to has recovered from the virus.  These ribbons are located in small boxes at the bottom of the wall.  Each box has a sharpie in it, and a table to one side is available to writes on the ribbons. The ribbons can then be attached to the wall with the pins provided.
At his time the Bogota Recollection Wall will be in place for the foreseeable future.  To see the video from Mayor Kelemen about this can be seen at:  https://www.youtube.com/ Bogota Recollection Wall
