Over the last few weeks the Easter Bunny has been talking to Santa Claus about how to help the Children of Bogota during these times. Santa told the Bunny how happy the Children are when the Bogota Fire Department drives him around town on Christmas Eve. This started Mr. Bunny thinking. So he contacted the Bogota Fire Chief John Greiner to see if they can work together. After some talking for a while, an idea came along that saw the Bunny's thump his foot quickly with glee.
So on Saturday-11-April the Bogota Volunteer Fire Department will escort the Easter Bunny around the Borough to see if they can bring a bit of fun and cheer to everyone. Starting around 9:30a there will be the first Bunny Tour of Bogota. It will begin at Pine and Palmer Sts. Then the caravan will will travel up and down the sides streets in the Eastern part of Bogota. They will continue to travel South trying to pass by as many homes as possible. They will then cross under the railroad bridge and travel around the Western half of the Borough.
The Easter Bunny, and the Fire Department asks that every should stay on their porches, or at their front door. They want all the Families in Bogota to stay safe and healthy so they can see Santa at the end of the year. He is looking forward to see as many Children as possible waving to him. And wondering what type of Easter Baskets he can see.
