On Wednesday-15-April members of the Bogota Rescue Squad, and the Bogota Volunteer Fire Department drove passed a resident that was celebrating a Birthday. This is similar to the idea of help Students celebrated their Birthday in other New Jersey towns. Bogota Rescue #46 and Engine Co.# 1 Trucks along with the Chief's Car and Truck traveled towards the home celebrating the Birthday. The Rescue Squads vehicles where decorated with balloons and well wishes. As they passed by the home the Children appeared at their door to wave to the Volunteers. They announced their presences with lights flashing & siren blaring to make sure everyone at home knew they are being thought of on their special day.
This is being made available to Students of Bogota from Kindergarten to 12th grade. For more information please contact the Daniele Fede at 973-703-6578. It is asked that any request be made at least two days in advance to a chosen date.
