On Thursday-27-February the Bogota borough Council held their second meeting for the month of February.
At the start of the meeting Mayor Chris Kelemen present plaques to former Councilman David Macfarlane. Mr. Macfarlane also accepted the plaque for former Councilwoman Kathryn Ferris, who could not make the meeting. These were given to honour them or their time serving on the Borough Council. Another presentation was given by the Bogota Police, Fire, and Department of Public Works who submitted their proposed budget for the next fiscal year.
All agenda items were passed. Some of the more notable items of note was to amend the agreement with the Bogota Board of Education to hire an additional Special Law Enforcement Offices-class 3. This will be a part time hire to be used as needed in case current SLEO -3 officer needed to be replaced due to an emergency. Also passed was the rules governing video recording of any Council meetings. Along with the hiring of a new employee for the Department of Public Works.
The next Bogota Borough Council will be held on Thursday-5-March This is scheduled to start at 7:30p, and be held in the Council Chambers located at 375 Larch Ave. This meeting is open to the Public.
