At this meeting members are to bring a recipe from this month book, and serve it to the other members as a potluck dinner. While over dinner members can discuss the book, why the chose their dish, and what was it like in the cooking process. This is a free event and open to anyone over the age of 18 years old. The Bixby School PTO will hold their annual Tricky Tray raffle night. This will take place at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Ridgefield Park. Doors will open at 6:00p Proceeds from this event will go to help fund the Bixby PTO. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Admission includes refreshments and desserts. Anyone attending may bring their own food. A cash bar will be available. A sheet of tickets for the small basket prizes are also included. Bogota Public Library and Bogota Beautiful will host their annual Community Potluck . This will take place in the Senior Center located on the second floor at 375 Larch Ave. There is no admission price to attend, and it will run from 1:00p to 3:00p. Anyone wishing to attend must contribute a food item of either an appetizer, main course, or dessert and should register at: Community Potluck Luncheon so that they will be able to set a menu. All donated food items must be delivered to the library between 11:30a and noon that day.
Tom Shrnich, from the Library, informed the meeting that he is scheduled to have live music to perform during the event. In addition to donating an item to be served, anyone attending this event is ask to donate a non-perishable food item to help supply the St. Joseph's Food Bank. Anyone wishing to help with set-up, decorations, and serving should also contact the Library. Any High School Student who volunteers will receive Community Service Hours.
