On Saturday-1-February the #16 seeded Bogota Men's Basketball Bucs played the #17 Hasbrouck Heights Aviators. This was a first round game in the 2020 Men's Bergen County Basketball Tournament. It took place at Bergen Catholic High School. Bogota would start off strong and have a 17-11 lead after the first quater. The Aviators came back in the second eight minutes out scoring the Bucs by 10 Points to take a 27-23 advantage into the locker room. After the restart Hasbrouck Heights expanded their lead to 41-34 at the three quater time mark. Bogota mounted a comeback and force the game into overtime tied at 47. In the extra time the teams would trade points. Then the Aviators Kunga Tsering would break the tie late in overtime and give Hasbrouck Heights a 51-49 win.
Bogota's Evan Meberg had a game high with 20 Points including 3 Three Point Basket. The Aviators's Steven Faussette led his team with 16 Points. Jaden Castro also had a game high with 3 Three Point Basket for Hasbrouck Heights .
Bogota's record is now 13-3 for the season. Bogota is next scheduled to play on Tuesday-4-February against METS Charter School. This will be played on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym with a tip off time of 6:00p
