On Saturday-18-January the Bogota- Ridgefield Park Scarlet/Bucs hosted a Tri-meet at Speary Gym. The Ft. Lee Highwaymen, and the Rutherford Bulldogs would compete throughout the morning. The first match saw Rutherford beat Ft. Lee by the score of 48-33. The next contest would have the Scarlet/Bucs defeat the Highwaymen 56-24. Of the 14 bouts scheduled 11 were competed. Bogota- Ridgefield Park would win seven of those. Gabriel Nunez at 120 lbs, Jaden Rodriguez at 126 lbs, Kashawn Wallace at 132 lbs, and John Beltran at 145 lbs would score Pinfalls. Andre Ruiz at 138 lbs won by a Technical Fall 19-2. Bryan Sutera at 220 lbs had a 10-5 decision win and Jaysun Sin at 182 lbs won by injury defeat.
Against Rutherford, the Scarlet/Bucs would win by a score of 60-22. Of the nine bouts competed Bogota- Ridgefield Park would win five of them. Adam Albino at 106 lbs, Anthony Landi at 113 lbs, Andre Ruiz at 138 lbs, Matthew Carvajal at 195 lbs, and Kaleb Malanando at 285 lbs would recorded Pinfalls.
Bogota- Ridgefield Park now has a 7-2 record for the season.
They next compete on Wednesday-22 - January at Leonia- Palisades Park. This will take place at Leonia High School. The first bout is scheduled to start at 7:00p
