On Wednesday-8-January the Bogota- Ridgefield Park Scarlet/Bucs hosted the Dover Emerson/ Park Ridge at Speary Gym. Emerson/ Park Ridge would win the match 61-12. The lone Scarlet/Bucs win would come from Kaleb Maldanado at 285 lbs would score a Pinfall. Bogota- Ridgefield Park is now 1-1. The next compete on Friday-10-January against Lyndhurst - North Arlington. This will take place in Speary Gym with the first bout at 7:00p
Earlier in the week two Scarlet/Bucs wrestlers would compete in the first Bergen County Women's Wrestling Tournament. Bogota- Ridgefield was represented by Skyla Ortiz at 143 lbs, and Kayla Zeppetelli at 151 lbs. Both wrestlers would make it to the semi final round. Ms. Ortiz would lose her bout to Amelia Woefel by an 8-9 dession. Mr. Zeppetelli would move into the final and score Pinfall over Morris Hill's Alexandra Ferron. This earn Kayla Zeppetelli the first Bergen County Womens Champion in the 151 lbs class.
