Results of the games played by Varsity teams from Bogota on Tuesday-21-January. The Bogota Bowling Bucs took on the Palisades Park Tigers. Bogota would win the match 7-0. Bogota’s Spencer Mazzella had the match highs with a game of 217 and series with a 561. The Tigers' David Cho had highs in games with a 171, and series with a 450. Bogota’s record is now 5-9. They next bowl on Thursday-23 -January against New Milford The first game is scheduled for 4:00p at the Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park.

The Lady Bucs would travel to Cresskill and suffer at 54-14 defeat to the Lady Cougars. Bogota’s record is now 2-9. They next play on Thursday-23 -January against Palisades Park. This will be played on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym with the tip off scheduled for 4:00p.
The Men’s Basketball Bucs host the Cougars on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. Cresskill would post a 18-7 advantage in the first quarter. Bogota would out score their opponents in the second 8 minutes, but the Cougars would still lead 29- 22 going into the locker room. After the restart Bogota would begin to close the gap. Then in a span of about 33 seconds Bogota’s Evan Meberg would make a Three Point Basket, then convert a three point play to give the Bucs a 34-33 lead. Cresskill regained the lead, and Taj Collins would get the lead back with his own Three Point Basket. The Cougars took a three point lead and Mr. Meberg would hit another three to tie the game at 49-49. The two teams would trade baskets with Bogota’s Yorlin Motolio taking the game at 51. Again Cresskill had a two point lead and the Bucs would then have Bryan DelaCruz was fouled in the act of shooting. He would miss the first shot, but sink the second to bring Bogota to within one Point. On Cresskill’s inbound play Mr. Motolio gave up his final foul to put Cresskill on the free throw line for a one and one. With 8.5 seconds remaining the first attempt would miss and the Bucs’ Bryan DelaCruz would collect the rebound. He would pass it to Taj Collins on a give and go. After the return pass found Mr Dela Cruz, he, in turn moved it to Evan Meberg waiting at mid court. Mr. Meberg moved it down the floor. With 0.8 seconds on the clock and one foot inside the tree point arc he let his shot go. Moments after the clock stuck 0.0 the ball found its way to the bottom of the net. The mad rust of Bogota Players and Students found Evan to congratulate him, and his team on a 54-53 win. The Bucs record is now 10-2. Evan Meberg led all scores with 23 Points including 3 Three Point Baskets. Taj Collins also record 3 Three Point Baskets for Bogota. Cresskill’s Chris Tracy had a high of 18 Points with Brain McQuillen and Keil McGee scoring 2 Three Point Baskets for the Cougars.
