On Tuesday-24-December Santa Claus paid some children a special visit to deliver a few presents early. He was escorted by members of the Bogota Police Dept, and Engine Company #3. Santa was driven around the Borough, giving his Reindeer some more rest, and passed out toys and gift that have been collected by the Bogota Police Department. These presents were donated to the Police by local organization, like Bogota Beautiful, You Give Goods, along with the residents of Bogota. The caravan went around Bogota and stops at a number of homes. Because it was before bedtime, the young recipients were able to have their presents handed to them by Santa himself. Police Officers also handed out presents to Families on Christmas Eve. In a few homes, the Police brought in a Christmas Tree, so Santa and Family members could place them under it in order to be opened on Christmas morning.
As they move around the Borough other children nearby would also get a gift from the Police and Santa. There was a chance to pose for a few photos, Christmas wishes, and one final wave before Santa had to head back North to prepare for Christmas Eve Night. But he will also make one last visit to Bogota to make sure all the good Children are tucked in their bed to await surprises on Christmas Morning.
