Monday-1- October will be the start of Leaf Season. Home Owners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting in the street , along the curb, in front of their residents. It is ask that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding , or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday -16- December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up.

Starting on Monday-18-November the Bogota Public Library will have a Autumn "Food for Fines" drive. This will run until Saturday-30-November. Any Library card holder which has a late fee will be able to donate a food item and receive a $1.00 credit per item donated. All food donation must be a non-perishable item that is not past its expiration date. Items must be either can, or boxed good that are not damaged. Only non-refrigerated items will be accepted. All donation will go to the St. Joseph's of Bogota food bank. Anyone wishing to make a cash donation should make them directly to the St. Joseph's food bank.
Library material that are lost, or damaged and need to be replace will not be eligible for this program. Materials given out on a different Library card can not to used this this program. Only those taking out material on a card from the Bogota Public Library can have the late fee be removed with a food donation. The weekly " Meet the Mayor" event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office.
