October to December

    Monday-1- October will be the start of Leaf Season. Home Owners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting  in the street , along the curb, in front of their residents.  It is ask that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding , or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday -16- December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up. 

Until 31-August 2020

The Bogota and Northeast New Jersey Legal Services Public Library presents a free seminar on legal housing issues, which includes programs to deny rental assistance, public housing, evictions and return of security deposits. The seminar will be in Spanish.

Garfield, NJ

   The Borough of Bogota will celebrate its 125th Anniversary with a Gala dinner at the Venetian in Garfield. All Borough residents are cordially invited to attend this special affair marking Bogota’s 125th Anniversary, so mark your calendars accordingly. The Gala will be from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Ticket prices are $50 per person.

  The Bogota public Library will hold a Kids Book Bingo. Open to Students up to the ages of 12 years old they can compete in Bingo using favorite book character. Winner will have a chance to win a free book from the Library. This is scheduled to start at 4:00p

  The Bogota Public Library will hold the next meeting of its Genealogy Group. This is open to anyone who may be interested in learning  more about exploring a Family   background, or  just would like to assist others working  on their history. This will met on  the second Saturday of every month,  starting at 10:00a.   START II  hold an indoor garage sale at the Bogota Recreation Center. located at 162 W. Main St. Bogota, NJ.  This will run from 10:00a to 4:00p. There will gifts for both pets and their Human friends.

 All proceeds from this event will go to find homes for the Cats & Dog would need one. Including Spaying (or Neutering)  as well as shots of the animals looking to be adopted.

 The Bogota Public  Library will have their Youth's Sewing Club meeting.  This is  open to  Students ages 9-18.  This will teach anyone the art of sewing. There will be a chance to learn machine, and hand sewing as well as shown different project and types of material. The next meeting  of the Bogota Test Kitchen will be held in the second floor of the Bogota Library. At this meeting members are to bring a recipe from this month book, and serve it to the other members as a potluck dinner. While over dinner members can discuss the book, why the chose their dish, and what was it like in the cooking process.   This is a free event and open to anyone over the age of 18 years old.  Anyone wishing to participate must register before hand, with the cookbook of the month available at the Library. The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.
