Announcement:
  The Bogota Borough Council Meeting originally scheduled for Thursday-14- November has been moved to Wednesday-13- November. This will still be held in the Bogota Council Chambers starting at 7:30p . The chambers are located at  375 Larch Ave on the second floor of Borough Hall.

October to December

    Monday-1- October will be the start of Leaf Season. Home Owners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting  in the street , along the curb, in front of their residents.  It is ask that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding , or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday -16- December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up. 

Until 31-August 2020

      - There will no pick-up of grass cutting of other vegetation.  This will be pick-up on Tuesday-12-November

     The Bogota VFW Ralph Hall Post # 5561 will host its  Annual Veterans Day ceremony.  This is a chance for the citizens of Bogota to show their thanks and appreciation for what the members of the Armed Services both past & present mean to the Country. Doors open at 6:30 pm, ceremony starts at 8pm. It includes announcement of Bogota's citizen of the year and its young volunteer award. Please come by for the ceremony and refreshments. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.  The Bogota Public  Library will hold a program recognizing  the Women and Men who are veterans of the United State Armed Forces.  The Bogota Public Library will have a Baby Story time.This geared towards youngsters ages 0-2. The Bogota and Northeast New Jersey Legal Services Public Library presents a free seminar on legal housing issues, which includes programs to deny rental assistance, public housing, evictions and return of security deposits. The seminar will be in Spanish.

   The Borough of Bogota will celebrate its 125th Anniversary with a Gala dinner at the Venetian in Garfield. All Borough residents are cordially invited to attend this special affair marking Bogota’s 125th Anniversary, so mark your calendars accordingly. The Gala will be from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Ticket prices are $50 per person.

  The Bogota public Library will hold a Kids Book Bingo. Open to Students up to the ages of 12 years old they can compete in Bingo using favorite book character. Winner will have a chance to win a free book from the Library. This is scheduled to start at 4:00p

This is open to anyone who may be interested in learning  more about exploring a Family   background, or  just would like to assist others working  on their history. This will met on  the second Saturday of every month,  starting at 10:00a.
