Results from sports played by Bogota varsity teams from Saturday-9-November.
The Bogota Cross Country Bucs competed in the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association State Sectional Championships at Garret Mountain.
The Bogota Lady Bucs three top racers were Amandin Fernandez finished in 12th, Maryann Gesmundo in 33rd, and Natalie Hardwick in 54th place. As a team Bogota finished 9th from thirteen schools.
The Men's team saw Jesus Michel come in fifth overall. Sasha Mehta and Andrew Cazar would finish 30rd & 31st respectfully. Dylan LeMay had a 43rd place and Rojas, Leandro came in at 47th. Bogota had a team finish of 6th place in the 19 scholl race.
They next compete on Saturday-16-November in the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association State Group I Championships. This will take place at Holmdel Park race course.
The #1 Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team played in the Quarterfinal Round New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association State Group I Tournament. The hosted the#9 Park Ridge Lady Owls in Speary Gym. Bogota would win the match 2-0 (25-13: 25-8). Bogota's Nylene Mateo would have a match high with 20 Kills, with Park Ridge's Shannon Burns recording 8 Kills Amber Vazquez scored 22 Assists for Bogota , and Kailey Levinson having 6 for Park Ridge. The Lady Owls' Gianna Viscovic scored a match high with 11 Digs while Gianna Estevez had 8 Digs for the Home team. Olivia Rosado and Nylene Mateo each had 8 Service Points including 2 Aces for Bogota. Ashanna Caviness had 4 Blocks. Bogota's record is now 27-4. The move to the Semifinal Round against #4 Midland Park. This will take place on Wednesday-13-November at Speary Gym. The first serve is scheduled for 7:00p
