On Thursday-7-November the The #1 seed Bogota Lady Bucs took on #17 Ridgefield Lady Royals at Speary Gym. This is a second round match of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association Group I playoff tournament. Bogota would win the match 2-0 (25-9: 25-5). Towards the end of the first set Nylene Mateo scored another Kill for Bogota. This would become her 1,000th Kill for her Varsity career. Bogota Coach Brad DiRupo would call a timeout in order to congratulate Ms. Mateo on her achievement. When play restarted she would continue to add to her total be finishing the set off with two more Kills.
Nylene mateo would finish the match with a high of 18 Kills for Bogota. Ashley Kuilen had 3 Kills for the Lady Royals. The Lady Bucs leaders in Assists was Amber Vazquez with 20, and Julieanne Corniel with 6 Digs. Ridgefield was Michelle Beon record 5 Assists and Ashley Kuilen score 6 Digs.
Bogota's record is now be 26-4. They move on to the Quarterfinal Round round against #9 Park Ridge. This will be played at Speary Gym on Saturday-9-November with the first serve scheduled for 2:00p.
