Results of Bogota Varsity Sports from Wednesday-17-September.
The Bogota Cross County Bucs competed against Bergen Arts and Science, Wood-Ridge, and Ridgefield at the Darlington Park race course. In the Women's race the Lady Bucs sweep the top five finished over both Bergen Arts and Science, Wood-Ridge, Ridgefield did not field a Women's team.
Amandin Fernandez, would win both races with Maryann Gesmundo Natalie Hardwick, Ashley Bautista, and Lara Pena following in order. The Lady Bucs record is now 4-0.
In the Men's Bogota would have victories over all three opponents. The Bucs also sweep Bergen Arts and Science, Wood-Ridge, and Ridgefield with the five fastest times. Jesus Michel, would place first in the league race and second overall. Sasha Mehta, Leandro Rojas, Dennis Toremis , and Vincent Ducut would follow. The Men's record is now 6-0.
Both squads next compete on Wednesday-25-September in the against Waldwick and Weehawken at the Garret Mountain Reservation. The first race is scheduled to begin at 4:00p
The 5-0 Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team traveled to Dwight-Englewood to play the 5-0 Lady Bulldogs. Bogota would keep their record in tact win in straight sets 2-0 (25-15 : 25-13). For Bogota Julianne Corniel would recorded 12 Service Points, with 4 Aces. She would also have 16 Digs. Nylene Mateo would all players with 20 Kills. Amber Vazquez had a Match high 26 Assists . Ms. Corniel recorded 6 Digs. Ms. Mateo, Giselle Hernandez and Ashanna Caviness all had 2 Blocks. Amber Leak would lead Dwight-Englewood with 12 KillsBogota's record is now 6-0, then next play on Thursday-20-September at Midland Park.
