On Saturday-14-September the Bogota Cross Country Bucs competed in the Back to the Mountain Invitational at the Garret Mountain Reservation. Bogota would enter squads in both the Women's and Men's Varsity "B" division. Along with the Women's and Men's Junior Varsity races. In the Women's Varsity "B" race Amandin Fernandez would be the highest Lay Bucs finisher coming in at 41st place overall. Maryann Gesmundo was the only other Bogota runner to place in the top 50, out of the 107 runners at 48th place. The Lady Bucs as a team finish 9th out of the 13 team field.
In the Men's Varsity "B" race Jesus Michel would place 4th over all, in a group of 131 runners. The other top finishers for the Bucs were Dylan LeMay in 34th , Sasha Mehta at 42nd, and Andrew Cazar in 44th. As a team Bogota would finish 5th in the 17 team field.
In the Women's Small School Junior Varsity race, Denisse Sotomayor came in at 28th place for Bogota. Followed by Kaylin Torres in 51st and Aisling O'Hagan in 52nd for Bogota. This was competed by 71 total runners. Out of a field of 7 total teams Bogota would place in 6th.
In the Men's Small School Junior Varsity race, with 135 racers, the Bucs Justin Cazar would finish in 12th. Other Bogota runners in the top 50 were Alexis Fernandez in 16th, Josemanue Corniel in 28th, and Angel Perez in 35th . As a team Bogota placed 5th out the 13 team field.
Bogota will next compete on Wednesday-18-September against Bergen Arts & Science, Ridgefield, and Wood-Ridge at Darlington Park. the races are scheduled to start at 4:35p
