On Memorial Day-27-May the Borough of Bogota held its annual Memorial Day Parade. The procession was held off by the Bogota High School Marching Buccaneer Band. They were followed by Bogota Mayor Chris Kelemen and the Bogota Borough Council. After that, with Congressman Josh Gottheimer and Bergen County Freeholders. Then Officers of the Bogota Police Department. The veterans from the Bogota VFW Post #5561, and American Legion Post #117 marched. Members of the Bogota Volunteer Emergency Services also marched along. The Bogota Rescue Squad, and the all four Companies of the Bogota Fire Depts. walked along with the vehicle's lighting the way in red and blue lights. A number of Local organization included the Bogota Girl Scouts, The Bogota Public Library, Bogota Beautiful, the participants from Healthy Kids Run and Supports of Bogota veterans, and their Families. A number of other bands also provided music on their way through the Borough.
