On Wednesday-15-May Bogota Beautiful held their Public meeting for the month of May. The first part of the meeting was focus on their recent Earth Day Clean-up event. A total over over 60 Volunteers attend that to help. The projects this year were to clean and freshen the planters on W. Main St. Clean around the World War I Memorial, replant trees at the West Shore Rd. Tree City sign. Scrub and re-secure the planks making up the Bogota Environmental Walkway in Olsen Park. And to install the Fence Weaving project in the Little League field. They talked about how the day went and if there should be any changes to the event for next year. It was also mentioned that Fence Weaving Artist Katherine Daniels would return this coming weekend to add some finishing details to the project. It was confirmed at the installation will stay up for at least one year and that Ms. Daniels is under contract to remove it after the show taht is complete.
They next talked about some upcoming events. One is the return of Yoga in the Park. This will take place every Sunday in June from 9:00a to 10:00p. It will again be held at the band shell in Olsen Park. All four session will be lead by Conor Murphy. This is free to the public, however it is asked to contact Bogota Beautiful at there website: bogotabeautiful.com to make a reservation for as many dates as you wish. Comfortable clothing that will allowed free and ease of movement should be worn. Another event that was discussed is a Garden Party at the Community Garden. This is tentative scheduled for a weekend in August,
The next Bogota Beautiful will be on Wednesday 19-May. This will be held at the Kennedy Emergency Services Building located at 69 W. Main St Bogota, NJ starting at 7:30p. And is open to the Public
