On Tuesday-14-May the Bogota Board of Education held their first meeting for the month of May. The noteworthy agenda items discussed were the acceptance of the appointment of Tenured and Non-Tenured Facility and Staff positions. Other personnel decisions accepted were the resignation of two Teachers Monica Garcia and Patricia Miraldi. The board also accepted the appointment of Kenneth Varon as a Social Studies Teacher.
The Board accepted the acceptance of a Grant from Lowe's Home Improvement Company. This is funding to be used by the Bogota High School Garden Club to upgrade and improve the Student Garden located on the Southern side of the School.
These items will be formally voted on with the rest of the consent agenda at the next Board of Education meeting scheduled for Tuesday-21-May
Superintendent Kennedy announce that the Board of Education will honor and recognize the Teachers of the year from the three public school. At this time they will also honour the teaches that will retire at the end of this current school year. This will take place during the Tuesday-18-June meeting.
The Next Board of Education meeting will be on Tuesday-21-May. The meeting will be held in the High School Cafeteria located on the second floor of 2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ. The meeting is scheduled to start at 7:00p. The Public is invited to attend.
