On Arbor Day 26-April-2019 The Bogota Environmental Commission announced the winners of the Arbor Day poster contest. This was opened to the Fifth grade Class at Steen and Bixby Schools in Bogota. Environmental Commissioner Daniele Fede award the first place prize to Jared Clark from Bixby School and Elizabeth Friedman from Steen School. This year's theme was to show why trees are beneficial to the environment and an asset to an urban location.
Some of the winning poster are on display at the Bogota Public Library near the front desk.
