Bogota Basketball

 On Saturday-2-March the  #1 seed Bogota hosted  #4 Wood-Ridge in the Semi-final round of the NJSIAA North 1, Group 1 Tournament on the Jay Mahoney Court at Speary Gym.  The Blue Devils would score an 61-47 upset win.  The first eight minutes saw the teams trade leads with Bogota's Taj Collins hitting a Three Point Basket as the first quater ended to bring the Bucs with in on point of Wood-Ridge.  The second half again saw the scoring stay tight between the two clubs, Bogota would have a brief five point lead, but this time the Blue Devils would come back and permit Bogota only a 25-24 advantage going into the locker rooms. 
 After the restart Wood-Ridge would strike early, and Bogota would respond and tie the game at 30 apiece. The game would remain this way for several minutes until the Blue Devils' Moshe Wilson would hit a three point basket from the right side to break the deadlock. Wood-Ridge would use this to out pace the home team for the Semi-Final win.
   The Blue Devils would be lead by Ryan Connelly with a game high of 20 Points. Mr Connelly and Moshe Wilson lead all players with 3 Three point baskets.  Bogota's Ashanti Caviness had 17 Points for Bogota. Taj Collins had two Three Point scores. Bogota finishes their season with a record of 19-8.
