On Thursday-28-February #1 seed Bogota Bucs played #8 Wallington Panthers in the Quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA North 1, Group 1 Tournament, on the Jay Mahoney Court at Speary Gym. Bogota would start the game taking a five Point lead on a Three point shot, and a second basket from withing the paint. Wallington would then tie the match with a close in basket and a three point score of their own. The Bucs would score the next basket and maintain their lead for the rest of the game. The first quarter would end with Bogota holding a 16-7 lead. The Bucs would pull away from their opponent with a 17 Point second quarter with all but two free throws coming from beyond the arc. They would a 33-18 advantage into the locker room.
After the restart Bogota would keep both the defensive and offense pressure on Wallington. The Bucs would mostly stay away from fouling ,and make use of their opportunities from the free throw line. Bogota would post a 72-50 win. Now #1 seed Bogota will play #4 Wood-Ridge in the Semi-final round of the NJSIAA North 1, Group 1 Tournament. This will take place on the Jay Mahoney Court at Speary Gym Tip-off time is scheduled for 1:00p.
Kenjiee Polanco would finish with a game 22 Points included a high of 4 Three Point Baskets. For Wallington Joe Tabaka led them with 13 points including 2 Three Point Baskets.
