On Tuesday-12-March the Bogota Board of Education held their first meeting for the month of March. At the start of their meeting the Board honoured the Championship teams from Bogota for the 2018 Fall Season. The New Jersey State Group I Volleyball Champions Lady Bucs. And both the Women and Men Patriot Division Cross Country Champions. The members of each club was presented with a jacket listing their accomplishment.
Athletic Director, and Lady Bucs Volleyball Head Coach Brad DiRupo thanked the Board for the support they have given Bogota Sports, and the opportunity which allows the Student Athletes from Bogota to excel at their sport.
After a brief break, in enjoy cookies and cake, the Board was call back into session. At this meeting Senior Angelie Jaipersaud served as the Student representative to the Board. The main order of business was to review the consent agenda. Some items were discussed, with a few noted to allow for further clarification. The majority of the consent agenda was moved forward to be formally voted on at the next meeting.
The Board met in a closed session for a short time, with no announcement made afterwards, adjourned soon afterwards.
The Next Board of Education meeting will be on Tuesday-19-March and will be held in the High School Cafeteria located on the second floor of 2 Henry Luthin Pl Bogota, NJ. The meeting is scheduled to start at 7:00p. The Public is invited to attend.
