Trucks already in New Jersey are encouraged to use truck stops or rest areas during the restriction. In order for road crews to effectively plow, drivers should not park on shoulders.
It was also announced that state offices will have a two-hour delayed opening on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 due to weather conditions for non-essential personnel. Essential employees should report to work at their normally scheduled time.
The New Jersey State Police is out on patrol if you need them.
Remember, driving at speeds too fast for the road conditions is often a contributing factor in snow-related crashes and spinouts. Take it slow and leave extra room between yourself and the vehicle in front of you should you have to brake unexpectedly.
