On Friday-4-January the Bogota/ Ridgefield Park Scarlet-Bucs traveled to Emerson for a match against the Cavaliers. Emerson would win the match by the score of 57-18. Of the 12 bouts competed the Scarlet-Bucs would win four of them. Andre Ruiz at 120 lbs and Patrick O'Reilly would score Pin Falls. Adam Albino at 106 lbs and Darius Baez at 126 lbs would win by decision. Bogota/ Ridgefield Park record is now 1-4.
On Saturday and Sunday they will compete in the Sam Cali Tournament at West Orange High School starting at 9:00a .
Their next league match will be Wednesday-9-January when they travel to Lyndhurst. The first bout is scheduled for 7:00p
On Saturday-5-January the Bogota Lady Bucs Basketball host the Lady Ghosts from Paterson East Side. The Lady Ghosts would finish the first half with a 38-10 lead over Bogota. Paterson won the game by a score of 64-26. Maryann Gesmundo would be the lady Bucs high scorer with 9 Points. Ms. Gesmundo and Dalecia Ashley would each have a Three Point Basket for Bogota. Ayonna Pineda and Ky'zirah Townes of Paterson would each have game highs with 19 Points. Sharini Beato would lead all scores with 4 Three point baskets. Bogota's record is now 0-7. They next play on Tuesday-8- January against Waldwick on Jay Mahoney Court at Speary Gym. The Tip-off time is scheduled for 4:00p.
