On Monday-10-December, and Tuesday -11-December Bixby School, then Steen School held their Winter Concerts. These were a showcase, for the Parents, to see what their Students have learn as part of the music program in the Bogota Public Schools. The first part of the show was the instrument sections under the direction of Mr. Mike Webb. The concert started with a performance by the third grade Percussion Ensemble. This was a quick display on the snare drums of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". Then the 4th,5th, and 6th Orchestra showed there skills on stringed instruments.
The next groups were the beginner band comprised of Students learning to play music for the first time. They were followed by the advanced band, for those Students who have progressed in their music education.
The second part of the concert was sung by the fifth and sixth grade choir under the direction of Ms. Adriana Dellosa. They sang four song that relaxed the change in seasons to colder weather, included providing their own snowfall. The finale was "Jingle Bell Rock" performed as a sing a long with the audience.
