On Monday-17- December the Bogota Public Library hosted a workshop on making a homemade decoration for the Holiday Season. This years project was a lighted jar. Cali Skrnich lead the class in creating a personalize decoration stating with a mason jar and a string of small lights. The participants also use simulated snow, pine cones, branches, and ribbons to give the jar a Winter feel.
First the snow was placed into the jar then the lights were added. Some people arraigned the lights in a pattern in and around the snow. Others put the lights in the snow then shook the jar to mix the lights within the snow. Then additional decorations were added, with the ribbon and pom-poms were placed on the outside of the jar, to be taken home and add light into which every room they choose.
