Starting on Monday-26- February the main parking lot and front entrance to Bogota High School will be closed. This is due to the reconstruction of the Parking lot. Work is scheduled to continue until First week of September-2018. All access to the High School will be through the side door on the North side of the building.
Bogota High School Senior Emilio Briones has been been named one of nine Student Athletes in week 3 of the 2018 Heart of a Giant Award . To vote for Mr. Broines please go to: Heart of a Giant/Emilio Briones. Voting closes Sunday-14-October at 11:59 p.m. to accumulate the most votes within the Week 3 group. Starting on Sunday-1 July-2018 the Borough of Bogota will change the ordnance in what can be recycled. Bottle & cans recycling pick-up the Borough of Bogota will now be limited to: Aluminium, Glass, Bi-metal/Tin cans. Aluminium foils and pie plates will be accepted but must be clean. Plastic Containers with the symbol 1, 2, or 5 only will also be accepted. All recyclable material must be placed in reusable trash receptacles. Items places in plastic bag will not be collected. Paper and cardboard recycling remains unchanged.
The collectible the products that have been removed from the accepted list will now be accepted by The Borough of Bogota in cooperation with the Ridgefield Park environmental commission and collected in a separate way. The Trex Corporation has provided bins to accept the following item. Grocery bags, bread bags, case overwrapping, dry cleaning bags, newspaper sleeves, ice bags, wood pellet bags, zip lock & other re-seal able bags, produce bags, bubble wrap, salt bags, and cereal bags. All recyclable materials must be clean, dry and free of food residue. For every 500 pounds of plastic collected the Trex Corporation will donate a new park bench, made from recycled materials. The benches will be donated to both Bogota and Ridgfield Park on a rotating basis. As of now a Trex collection bin is in the lobby of the Bogota Borough Hall and the Bogota Public Library can be accessed during regular business hours. More bins are planned for other locations in the future.
The collection day under the new rules will be Thursday-5-July (due to the Fourth of July Holiday) Then every other Wednesday.

Monday-1- October will be the start of Leaf Season. Home Owners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting in the street , along the curb, in front of their residents. It is ask that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding , or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday -17- December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up.

This will be the next day of the Healthy Running Series for Bogota. Healthy Kids Running Series a nonprofit organization that gets boys and girls Pre-K through Middle School active, feel accomplished and lays the foundation for a healthy lifestyle, compete in their first race of the five-consecutive-week Series. This will take place at Fiegel Field starting at 4:30p. It will run for 5 straight weeks ending on Sunday 14-October. Fees start at $10.00 for one race. or $35 for the entire series of five races. This program features the Hamilton recording of the performance at the White House, an introduction to the characters of the musical, and music from the Broadway production including Ten Duel Commandments. The next day of the Teaneck Farmers Market for this season. Shoppers will be able purchase locally grown and produced food items. This annual event will be every Thursday from June to the end of October. The stand open at 12:00 noon and continue until 6:00p The Teaneck Farmers Market is located in the municipal parking lot along Beverly Rd Teaneck, NJ. There is additional parking available near by.
