Results from weekend sports played by teams from Bogota
Friday-19-October
The Bogota Football Bucs on at North Arlington 49-6. Andrew Miller would throw five Touchdowns passes, and run for a sixth. Frank Petaccia would have three Touchdown catches. With Ashanti Caviness adding two more. Dayval Chimilio would run for one.
Bogota's record is now 2-6. They next play on Saturday-3-November.
The Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team would have a 2-0 (25-4: 25-8) win over Emerson. Sophia Marquez would have 10 Service Points with two Aces. Ms. Marquez would also record 4 Digs. LeilaKsiyer would have 10 Kills. Alyssa Vazquez lead with 26 Assist. Ands Amy Chavez would also record 2 Aces. Their record is now 17-5 . They next play on Tuesday-23-October against Park Ridge at home in Speary Gym. First Serve is scheduled for 4:00p
Saturday-20-October
The Bogota Cross Country Bucs would compete in the Bergen County Championships at Darlington Park. Bogota would run in the Group "D" races.
The Lady Bucs would finish second out of the five schools that fielded full teams. Angeli Jaipersaud would finish 5th over all. The other lady Bucs runner who would score Points were: Gabrielle Grant, Ashley Gomez, Natalie Hardwick, and Lara Pena.
In the Men's race Jimmy Gutierrez would become the Men's group "D" Champion with an 11 second win over the rest of the field. Jesus Michel would place 4th overall. Mauricio Valerio, Vincent Ducut, Adam Albino would be the other scoring runners for Bogota. As a team Bogota would finish second out of the 9 school field.
In the JV race for small schools Bogota would finish fourth out the 15 school field. Chris Perry would be the highest Bogota runner with an 14th place finish. He would be followed by Syed-Ham Hussaini, Juan Michel, Joe Perry, and Angel Perez.
Both the Women's and Men's squad have qualified for the Bergen County Meet of Champions on Saturday-27-October. This will be run at the Darlington Park Race course starting at 10:00a.
The Bogota Junior Bucs Football teams played the final home game of the regular season against Palisades Park/Ridgefield. Before the final game of the afternoon the seven 8th grade members of the Senior team were recognised for their paly as members of the junior Football Program. The Pee-Wee lost by a score of 22-0. The Junior Team lost by a score of 33-0 . The Senior team lost 21-0
