On Tuesday-9-October the Bogota Cross Country Bucs competed in the Patriot Division Championship meet. This was held at the Garrett Mountain Reservation. The Bogota Lady Bucs would have four runners in the top six scoring places. Angeli Jaipersaud would score a second place finish, and come in third overall. Gabrielle Grant, would come in fourth and Ashley Gomez took sixth. Bogota would finish first in team scoring out of the four school fielding full teams.
In the Men's race Jimmy Gutierrez would run first overall and become the Men's Patriot Division Champion. Jesus Michel would score second with a third overall finish. In the team scoring Bogota would place 11 runners in the top five places. Bogota, as a team would place first from the 7 team field.
In the Men's Junior Varsity race Bogota would place three runners in the top twenty Syed-Hamza Hussaini would come in 10th, Juan Michel would take 14th place,and Joe Perry would finish in 18th place. The JV race was not a team event.
The Lady Bucs finish the regular season with a record of 8-0. The Men's team had a record of 9-0.
The Lady Bucs successfully defend their 2017 Championship, and their 4th Division title in seven years.
The Men's regain the Patriot Division title and won their 6th Championship in seven years.
Both Squads next race in the Bergen County Championship meet on Saturday-20 October. This will take place at the Darlington Park Race Course. This is schedule to start at 9:00a.
