On Wednesday-5- September the St. Joseph's School in Bogota welcome their Students to the first day of the 2018-19 School year. With a Sunny day, and repairs to the Gymnasium continuing the Students gathered in the upper lot. The Pre -School Student were guided to their classrooms while all other grade assembled for the start of their day. They lined up in grade order and passed the time meeting old friends , and saying hello to their passed Teachers Also some of the Eighth Grade Students acted as escorts to the younger members of the school who walked with them to their class group.
Finally Principal Stella Scarano entered the Gym ringing a school bell to bring the Students to order. She welcomed the new and returning Student to the start of another school year. She asked if everyone was happy and excited about starting a new school year, somehow she could only hear the positive answers to her question. The Students, teachers , and Parents were lead in a morning prayer After that one Student lead the school in the Pledge of Allegiance. With that the Students were then walked to their respective classroom to begin a new year of learning.
As they walked into the building the Students passed by a group of Parent for one last wave, and more encouragement on their journey.
