On Wednesday-15-August Bogota Beautiful held their monthly public meeting for August. That this meeting it was announced that Adriana Bingen has been appointed the new Treasurer of the organization. There was also the discussion of them working with the Bogota Public on a new project. Bogota Beautiful also started work on a new fundraising event for later in the year. More information will be announced when plans for both projects are finalized.
The main focus of this meeting was the idea to expand Bogota Beautiful's mission to become a part of the Borough's Sustainable Jersey Place-making and Creative Arts Team. This would be inline with Bogota Beautiful's mission to be community organization committed to a high level of satisfaction and great quality of life for Bogota, NJ residents via beautification and improvement projects, and community building events. Part of their mission is also to promote economic growth withing the Borough of Bogota . Chairperson Amaru Bustamante talked about approaching the Bogota Council to allow Bogota Beautiful to represent the Borough with Sustainable Jersey, which could increase Bogota status with that organization. This, in turn, could allow Bogota to become more eligible for loans or grant funding which will aid in future beautification projects, as well as, attracting new business' to Bogota.
