Results from Bogota Sports
On Monday-30-April the Bogota track and Field squads competed in the Patriot Division Championship. This was held at Emerson High School. The Women's team placed 7th out of the eight schools competing the top finishers for the Lady Bucs was Angelie Jaipersaud taking a 4th place in the 1600 m run, and a 3rd place in the 3200 m run. Alondra Bautita placed 4th in the shot put.
The Men's team finished 8 out the eight teams competing. Their top finishers were Jimmy Gutierrez placing 5th in the 1600 m run, and 3rd in the 3200 m run. Ali Salam placed 6th in the 400 m hurdles.
The Bogota Lady Bucs Softball team traveled to Midland Park to play the Lady Panthers. Bogota was able to score the first run of the game, but Midland Park scored the next 9 to win by the score of 9-1. Bogota's record is now 10-5. The next play Leonia on Friday-4-April at Lady Buc Field in Olsen Park. The First Pitch is schedule for 4:00p. Bogota will enter as a #32 seed in the 2018 Bergen County Tournament. They will play at #1 ranked Indian Hills on Saturday-5-May.
The Bogota Middle School Lady Bucs hosted the Haledon Lady Bulldogs at Zakrzewski Field in Olsen Park. Trailing most of the game Bogota scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning for their first win of the year. They next play Glen Rock on Monday-7-May at Zakrzewski Field in Olsen Park with a first pitch scheduled for 4:00p
