Starting on Monday-26- February the main parking lot and front entrance to Bogota High School will be closed. This is due to the reconstruction of the Parking lot. Work is scheduled to continue until First week of September-2018. All access to the High School will be through the side door on the North side of the building.

The St. Joseph's School in Bogota Will hold their 11th annual Raffle. This will take place in the St. Joseph's Gymnasium located at 115 E. Ft. Lee Rd Bogota. Doors will open at 6:00p with the drawing starting at 7:30p Admission will be $35 which will include one sheet of tickets, light beverages and desserts. Anyone attending may bring their own food. This is an Adult event with anyone under 18 years old will not be allowed to attend. Additional tickets will be available for purchase including 50/50 tickets.

The final event of Money Smart Week will be a Storytime Craft morning hosted by Bogota Savings Bank. This will teach young Students about how finances can work with stories and crafts.
Money Smart Week is part of a joint effort by Bogota Public Library and Money Smart Advisory Council, working with The Chicago Federal Reserve Bank. These are all free event, but anyone attending is asked to register with the library in advance. Starting on Sunday-1-April the Bogota Library's will have its "Food for Fines" month. This allows the payment of any late fees to be paid with food donations. Donations will go to the St. Joseph'd Food Bank until Monday-30-April.

The Bogota Police Dept. will engage in a Distracted Driving Enforcement and Education Campaign starting on Sunday 1-April. This is part of a National and State wide effort to reduce the number of traffic accents caused by distracted driving. This is titled UDrive. UText. UPay and will continue in Bogota until Saturday-21-April.

The Bogota Police Dept has issued a traffic alert for Thursday-16-November. The Suez water company will be working on the main water line under the street. Work is schedule to continue until late January -2018. This will occur on W. Main St. between Larch and Elm Aves. This is scheduled to start at 7:00a and run to 4:00p. All parking on W.Main will be suspend during this time. Traffic in both directions may be detoured during this project, please plan alternate routes. Business parking will be permitted on both Larch and Elm Aves and may cause additional congestion on those streets.

The Bogota Public Library will have it's Next Trivia Night with Mr Roman. This will be an opportunity to compete against others answering question on basic knowledge. The competition is scheduled start at 7:00p. Anyone, regardless of age is welcome to participate. The Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge # 1506 will be holding a All you can eat Breakfast. This will start at 8:30a and go until 12:00 noon Prices are $10 for Adults and $5 for student 12 and under. The Breakfast will feature an Omelette station, Pancakes, Bacon,Sausage, French toast, & scrambled eggs. There will also be pastries, cereal along with Coffee, Tea, Milk & Juice. It is asked to bring some Non-perishable food items for the Local Food Pantry.

The weekly " Meet the Mayor" event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office.
