On Friday-13-April the companies of the Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept. answered a call for a car fire on the Lt. Albert Graf Memorial Bridge. At approximately 6:00p a truck stopped on the East bound lane of Main St midway along the bridge. Firefighters contained the flames to near the vehicle as gasoline leaking from the underside and added to the fire. When the gasoline finally burned off, Firefighters could remove the front hood and extinguish any smolder pockets with the vehicle.
The Lt. Albert Graf Memorial Bridge was reopened for traffic later in the evening.
