Officials from Bergen County have again delayed the opening of the Lt William Ryan Bridge to Friday -20-April. Mentioning weather problems as the cause of postponing the opening of the bridge to traffic for one week. As of today 12-April guard rails on the pedestrian sidewalk, paving the approaches from both Bogota and Hackensack, painting of lane identification lines and informational signage have yet to be finish.
The Bogota VFW post #5561 and the Borough of Bogota are still scheduling a re-dedication ceremony on Saturday-21-April. This will be held at the parking lot in front of the Olsen Environmental walkway just south of the Ryan Bridge. This is scheduled to start at 1:00p and is open to the public. It is excepted members of Lt. Ryan's Family and other officials will be in attendance.
