On Sunday-8- April rerouting of the New Jersey Transit Buses in Hackensack will be in effect. This is due to the changes in traffic patterns in the Upper Main Street district of the City. Earlier in the year State St from Essex St to Passaic St is now a two way street. Main St will soon be changed to handle two way traffic from Essex St to Passaic St. The change is expected to take plan in the Summer of 2018. It is part of the City of Hackensack's redevelopment of that area. Bus service has been discontinue on Main St from Essex St to Passaic St.
The Bus routes that will most effect Bogota are the # 83 from Hackensack to Jersey City. This route will now travel on River Rd through Hackensack in both directions. The #168 which travels from Paramus Park Mall to Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan. This route will now travel on River Rd through Hackensack in both directions.
Both the # 751 and 755 from Bergen Community College to Edgewater will also change. These routes will now travel on State St. through Hackensack in both directions.
The Bus Route for the #155 From Teaneck to Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown, the # 178 and #182 from Hackensack to George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal should remain unaffected by these changes.
The changes may cause adjustments in the time table , and travel times of all bus routes. For more information please visit the New Jersey Transit web site at: http://www.njtransit.com/buses
