On Saturday-31-March the Bogota Recreation Commission held their annual Easter Egg hunt at the Environmental Walk Bridge in Olsen Park. This was moved to this Saturday after ground conditions were unused on the schedule date. Even after a week delay a large number of Families attended the chance for youngster to run and look for eggs, and a few special ones. This was open to any Bogota Student from Pre-School to Third grade, the Students were placed in three different age groups. When Recreation Director Jim Moore counted down to one the Children began a dash to look for their prizes. After all the eggs were gathered those finding the special eggs traded then in for baskets handed out by Bogota Mayor Chris Kelemen.
Also at this event, members for START II had a table for anyone wanting to learn more how to adopt a pet from non-profit animal shelters. They had stuffed animals, flower plants, and other items which could be purchased for a donation to help fund this types of shelter. They will also have a fundraising benefit on Sunday-20 May at Vitales Restaurant in Teaneck. For more information about START II please visit their website at: http://members.petfinder.com/startii
