On Saturday-3-March the Golden Adult Day Care Center held a open house and ribbon cutting ceremony. The new business is located at 53-57 W. Ft. Lee Rd. at Elm Ave in Bogota, NJ. This is that latest development at this location that once held the Bank of Bogota, along with the U.S. Post Office for the Borough. Another use for the site was an old At&T switching centre, and once was concerned a location for a complex of townhouses. Now, after five years of reconstruction, the Golden Adult Day Care Center will officially open in mid-March.
On Saturday Bogota Mayor Chris Kelemen, members of the Bogota Council, New Jersey House Assemblyman Gordon Johnson, and officials from Palisades Park were welcomed by the centre's owner Park Jong Ku for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the front entrance on W. Ft Lee Rd. Later Mr. Park and everyone associated with the Golden Adult Day Care Center were welcomed to Bogota by Mayor Kelemen. He thanked Mr. Park for bring his business to Bogota, and hope for the success of the centre. The Mayor and Council Members then presented Mr. Park with a certificate to acknowledge the opening of the new Bogota Business. When Assemblyman Johnson addressed the audience, he delighted them with a greeting in Korean. He also welcomed the centre to Bogota, and Bergen County wishing them good fortune and success.
This facility is designed to have a capacity of serving around 300 customers a day. The Customers will be provided with care and supervision while in the centre. The Golden Adult Day Care Center will also be able to provide the possibility of short-term rehabilitation following a hospital discharge. The customers will also be able to enjoy meals, meaningful activities, and general supervision. This will be a non-residential facility, meaning there are no accommodation for overnight stays.
Some of the feature are a full dinning area, located in the building which housed the Post Office. A main event and banquet room fully accessible by off street parking. Other features are game rooms which will offer pool tables, and pin-pong tables. The upper floor contains spaces for entertainment, relaxation, card, & board games, and a computer room.
Golden Adult Day Care Centre will also have a medical and security staff on full time duty and a certified pharmacy for the customers.
