Starting on Thursday-16 March the Lt William Ryan Bridge will be closed for replacement. Construction is schedule continue until February or March.

The Bogota Police Dept has issued a traffic alert for Thursday-16-November. The Suez water company will be working on the main water line under the street. Work is schedule to continue until late January -2018. This will occur on W. Main St. between Larch and Elm Aves. This is scheduled to start at 7:00a and run to 4:00p. All parking on W.Main will be suspend during this time. Traffic in both directions may be detoured during this project, please plan alternate routes. Business parking will be permitted on both Larch and Elm Aves and may cause additional congestion on those streets.Monday-5-February

The Bogota Public Library have Reading Buddies available for February. This is a program where older Students assist younger ones with their homework and reading skills. On this day several Sixth Grade Student were on hand to offer guidance on how best to answers question about their school assignments.
The Reading Buddies program will take place between 3:30-4:30p when the Library is open. Buddies will meet in the Nikki Spiegel Children's Area. Students looking for may come in and ask for a Buddy to work with. Any older Student who wishes to volunteer their time to become a Reading Buddy should contact the Library at:

The weekly " Meet the Mayor" event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. The library is again working with AARP this year to provided assistance in tax preparation. This will be available on Thursday and Fridays from now until Saturday 15- April. This is targeted to anyone over the age of 60 who could also be collecting Social Security .

The Bogota Junior / Senior High School will induct it's next class to the National Junior Honor Society. Students from the seventh & eight grades will be recognized for having that met the high standards of the National Junior Honor Society.
These Students will have met the requirements include for Scholarship: a cumulative GPA of 85, 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent standard of excellence. Along with achievements in Community Service, Leadership, and overall Character. The ceremony will take place in the Bogota High School Auditorium and begin at 7:00p

The Friendship House of North Jersey will be holding a wine and painting event. This will be a fundraiser to assist them in their mission to build the skills of individuals with varying abilities and developmental needs by providing, within a safe haven, comprehensive clinical treatment, vocational training and work opportunities in order to achieve meaningful and productive lives. Tickets for this event are priced at $45.00 per person which will include all necessary materials for painting. There will also be light refreshments including soft drinks and bottles of Prosecco wine provided. Anyone attending may bring their own Wine or soft drinks. This event is recommended for anyone 21 years and over, with anyone younger must be accompanied by an Adult.

American Championship Wrestling returns to the Bogota VFW post # 5561. with their Hero Cerebration. This will feature opening round matches in the Mike Morgan Jr Memorial Cup. Tickets are price at $20.00 per person in advance and $25.00 at the door.
