On Saturday-17-February the Bogota Public Library and Bogota Beautiful held their annual Community International Pot Luck. This year it was planned as a dinner, and again held in the library's second floor Senior Centre. The food donated was from basic American comfort food, Chicken Fingers and French Fries. There was also some of the ethnic dishes that represented flavors from Italian, Spanish, Greek, Asian, and Philippine cuisine. There was also music provided to create a relax setting which allowed the diners the chance to enjoy the different tastes, and allowed them to talk with there fellow resident. The Music was as varied as the food with Councilman David MacFarlane played show tunes on the Piano. Jimmy Musto with Joy Hermalyn, Margaret Swinchoski and Jeremy King with smooth Jazz sounds. Then the Schiller Institute Choir sang Traditional songs. Steve Kellerman ended the evening performances with an acoustical set of American Folk Music.
The next Bogota Beautiful board meeting will take place on Wednesday-21-February starting at 7:30p. This will be held on the second floor of the Kennedy Emergency Services Building located at 69 W. Main Street Bogota, NJ and is open to the public. For more information on volunteering for any of these project.
