Results from the Bogota/ Weehawken Wrestling matches from the weekend. On Saturday-3- February they traveled to Secaucus. They won their first match over Newark Collegiate by a score of 69-0. Kevin Rodriguez at 145 lbs, Kevin Rodriguez at 152 lbs, Michael Fitzgerald at 170 lbs, Rex Fukuda at 182 lbs, Jamear Stephenson at 195 lbs Alejandro Cosme at 220 lbs, and Simon Cardona at 285 lbs all recorded Pin Falls.
The next lost to Bayonne by a score of 21-46. Tyler Williams at 152 lbs and Simon Cardona at 220 lbs both recorded Pin Falls.
Their final match of the day was against Secaucus where they were just beaten by the Patriots by a score of 40-39. David Martinez at 120 lbs, Brandon Gonzalez at 138 lbs, Kevin Rodriguez at 152 lbs, Tyler Williams at 152 lbs, Michael Fitzgerald at 170 lbs, Simon Cardona at 220 lbs and Alejandro Cosme at 285 lbs, all recorded Pin Falls.
Their record is now 13-9. The Bogota/ Weehawken Wrestling squad have been ranked at #7 in the North 1 Group 1 Tournament. They will travel to #2 Pompton Lakes for a Quarterfinal match on Monday-5-February. The first bout is scheduled for 7:00p
