On Thursday-25-January the Bogota Men's Basketball Bucs hosted Saddle River Day school On the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. The Rebels would start the game playing keep away from the Bucs defenders while looking to score. Saddle River would use to double the score on Bogota midway through the first quarter. Bogota would start to close the gap then Dieker Padrino's Three point basket, as the first quarter buzzer sounded, brought the Bucs within one point. This gave a push in Bogtoa scoring confidence in the second quater. A number of block by Ben Lukabu allowed Bogota to control more of the play and the Bucs to a 25-22 lead at half time.
After the restart Bogota moved to a more trapping defense with Colin McDonnell being the tip of the spear. The Bucs pressure would limit Saddle River's scoring chance, while opening their own offense. Bogtoa would then remain in control of the game posting a 62-38 win. Dieker Padrino would be the high scorer for the game with 19 Points, including 3 Three Point Baskets. Argenis Soriano would have 2 Three Point Baskets. and Colin McDonnell added one more from long
range. Bogota's record is now 11-2.
Bogota will have a #17 ranking entering the Bergen County Tournament. The will play #16 River Dell in the opening round. This game will be held on Saturday- 27-January and take place at Bergen Catholic. Tip off is scheduled for 11:00a. The Bucs' next league game will be Tuesday-30-January at Park Ridge this is scheduled to start at 7:00p
